A Rose Tea for Love Magic
The season of warmth, love and all things joy is creeping up slowly. And when the hot weather comes rolling in, we don’t really want to be burning candles in 40+ degrees Celsius to draw magic into our lives. So now is the perfect time to start experimenting with all sorts of teas, infusions, brews and enchanted mists! One of my favourite ways to start bring in love without the use of fire is to drink tea, rose tea in particular! It’s so simple to make and the love magic contained within a single rose petal is amazing. And my favourite thing about rose tea is that the flavour changes depending on the colour and whether the petals are fresh or dried!
I personally like to use dried rose petals since I use the fresh petals for cakes, dyes and candy. That, and every year I grow such an abundance of rose petals that I must dry them all out, otherwise I feel like it’s a waste of wonderful magic. Not only do roses bring in love, when consumed it can create a wonderful sense of calm over the aura and fill all the little dents of negative energy that accumulated throughout the day.
Now, I won’t be going into the magic of rose in this post as that is for another post at another time. So, lets jump into how easy it is to make this wonderful potion!
Simple Rose Love Tea Method
When I say simple, I mean very very simple, but you’ll be surprised at the amount of people that think tea is only about tea leaves!
- Rose petals, fresh or dried
- Raw Honey or sweetener of your choice
- 150ml of Water
Simply boil the water and pour over the rose petals!
Steep for no longer than 5 minutes if the petals are fresh and no longer that 10 minutes if the petals are dried. After these times, the potion of love turns into a potion of bitter disappointment! And no amount of sweetener can fix the bitter taste.
Romance Love Tea Method
For this one you’ll need:
- Dried rose petals
- Hibiscus or Rosella
- Sweet Orange Peel
- Honey or Sweetener
- 250ml Water
Once again, boil up some water
Pop about 1 1/2 tsp of each herb into a big ol’ mug or a small tea pot
Once the water has boiled, pour the boiling water over the dried herbs and allow it to sit for 5 to 10 minutes
Like always, the colour of the water should become a vibrant, loving red! Sweeten with a small amount of raw honey or sweetener of your choice.
Drink up and fill your spirit with perfect love!
Teas, hot or cold, are so easy to make and they hold so much magic within them, ready to be consumed! Even then, you don’t have to consume these wonderful potions. If you have a spray bottle, fill it up and spray the potion around your scared space to draw in love.
As always, experiment!! Grab other culinary herbs and boil them up fresh or dried. Allow their magic to infuse with yours to enhance whatever spell or intention your aiming for!
